ABOUT ME

I am a BACP-registered therapist with over ten years of experience, based in Edinburgh. I trained at the University of Edinburgh in person-centred and psychodynamic counselling, and I work one-to-one with adults (aged 18 and over) with a wide range of concerns.

My therapeutic approach is “pluralistic”, which means I work flexibly and collaboratively with each individual person. If you work with me, I will prioritise your unique goals, needs and experiences over strict adherence to any therapeutic modality. I will work with you to figure out what helps, drawing upon a rich variety of trainings.

I have particular interests in neurodivergence (such as ADHD and autism), embodiment, and life “transitions”, such as menopause, career changes, bereavement, and other potentially seismic changes in circumstance and identity.  People tend to find that my pluralistic, client-centred approach encourages them to feel respected, valued, and empowered.

As of 2025, I also offer Single Session therapy. This involves a slightly different mindset to ongoing therapy, with a more focused approach to one particular concern. The aim is to help you find meaningful progress, clarity or relief within one session. There is no assumption that you return for further sessions, but some people choose to do so as needed. If you’re interested in finding out more about Single Session Therapy, I wrote a blog post here: click link to blog article
